A Psalm of Repentance - Part 3

March 1, 2026 · Pastor Marc Williamson · 48:02

Repentance does not begin with us. God gives the space to repent and begins that work in our hearts. We cooperate or we resist. The fact that any of us is saved is evidence of the goodness of God.

Key Verse: "Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?" - Romans 2:4 (KJV)

Continuing A Psalm of Repentance, Pastor Marc Williamson looks at the enlightenment of repentance. It is the Holy Ghost who reproves the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment, and who opens our eyes to see our sin as God sees it. Using the prodigal son, he shows the difference between a heart that demands and feels entitled and a contrite heart that says, "Make me as one of thy hired servants." God deals with us not according to His justice but according to His mercy.

It is the goodness of God that takes you by the hand and leads you back home. Don't continue in rebellion. Come to Him.
