From Ruin to Restoration - Part 2 - Moses
Just as the triune God raised the body of Christ 2,000 years ago, God is still raising the dead. He is still in the business of restoring ruined lives. At the age of 40, Moses wrecked his life with one sinful choice, and the consequences were severe.
Moses lost his position in Pharaoh's household, his freedom as a fugitive on the run, his relationships, his influence among his own people, and the dream of fulfilling God's calling on his life. For 40 long years on the backside of the desert, he lived wondering if his failure meant God was through with him. But at the age of 80, God appeared to him in a burning bush and revealed that He knew exactly where Moses was, had not forgotten him, and was not through with him. In that barren wilderness, God had emptied Moses of pride, anger, impulsiveness, and self-reliance to fill him with humility, meekness, patience, and dependence upon the Lord. Failure does not have to be your final chapter when God is involved. The turning point for a ruined life can only be experienced in God's presence.
