How To See The WORD Work In Your Life

Why does God's Word seem to change some people dramatically while others hear it and stay the same? The Word itself is the same for everyone. The difference is in how we respond to it.

Key Verse: "For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe." - 1 Thessalonians 2:13 (KJV)

The Thessalonians turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and the Word worked effectually in them because they received it as the Word of God. In this message from our Back to the Basics series, Pastor Marc Williamson shows that God never forces His message on anyone. We can accept it, resist it or leave it in the pew. Those who know deep down that it is God's Word will value it more than wealth, a meal or even sleep.

Every time you open your Bible or come to God's house, ask Him what He is saying to you, and then obey it.
