Israel - A Ruined House Until Christ's Return
Why has the Jewish people's story been one of so much suffering, and why does hatred of Israel keep rising around the world? Standing in the Temple courts just days before the cross, Jesus looked over Jerusalem and wept, and then He told them exactly what would happen to their house and when it would be restored.
Key Verse: "For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord." - Matthew 23:39 (KJV)
In this Wednesday night message, Pastor Marc Williamson preaches from Matthew 23:37-39. He shows the compassion of a Savior who longed to gather Israel under His wings like a hen gathers her chicks, and the stubbornness of a people who rejected their Messiah, His message and His mercy. Because they would not come, God withdrew His presence and left their house desolate, and in 70 A.D. the Romans did not leave one stone of the Temple upon another. But Jesus did not leave Israel without hope. One day, through the fire of the Tribulation, the nation will look on Him whom they pierced and say, Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Don't put religious activity in the place of a real relationship with Jesus, and don't resist the Spirit of God when He is dealing with you. Prophecy is not given to entertain us but to renew our hope and stir us to reach the lost.
