Prayer and World Missions
Prayer goes with everything we do for God, and nothing will happen apart from it. On the eve of the annual mission conference, this message turns to Acts 13, where the church at Antioch prayed, fasted and sent out the first missionaries.
Key Verse: "As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them." - Acts 13:2 (KJV)
Barnabas and Saul were not idle when God called them. They were faithful in the assembly, serving the Lord, and it was while the church was ministering and praying that the Holy Ghost separated them for the work. In this message from our series on prayer, Pastor Marc Williamson shows how world missions was born in a praying church and how the believers at Antioch became so much like Christ that the world called them Christians.
If the gospel is going to reach the world, it will be carried on the prayers of God's people. Every believer has a part in world missions through prayer.
