The Résumé of the King - Part 5

December 10, 2025 · Pastor Marc Williamson · 49:57

Isaiah called the coming Child The everlasting Father. That name doesn't confuse the Son with the Father. It tells us who Jesus is and what He came to give.

Key Verse: "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." - John 17:3 (KJV)

In this fifth part of The Résumé of the King, Pastor Marc Williamson explains the name everlasting Father. Christ is eternal, the source of eternal life, and He came into time so that those bound by time could enter eternal life. With a father's concern He has done all the work to restore us to God, and He invites us to cast all our care upon Him. The human soul cannot be satisfied by anything earthly, and only when the eternal Christ meets us is that longing filled.

People turn to drink, drugs and careers trying to fill an eternal longing. Only the everlasting Father can satisfy it.
